Alex Turner es uno de los artistas más reconocidos del Reino Unido y alrededor del mundo se ha convertido en un símbolo de la música británica contemporánea, no sólo por ser el líder de Arctic Monkeys, también por ser una de las mentes creativas detrás de The Last Shadow Puppets e incluso por el material que ha lanzado como solista.
Nacido en Sheffield, el músico pronto encontró su vocación en compañía de unos amigos con los que pasaba el tiempo tocando en el garage. Entonces, Arctic Monkeys lucía como un grupo adolescente, pero sus canciones no parecían ser sólo una moda, sino que pretendían quedarse en la memoria colectiva por mucho tiempo.
Alejado de la cámara, con una visión centrada sobre el mundo, listo para apoyar a las causas sociales, pasó de ser un adolescente despeinado y con ropa desajustada para convertirse en un sex symbol del rock actual. Ahora, Turner cuenta con una trayectoria musical de 20 años, desde el instante en que sus padres, dos profesores de Inglaterra, le regalaron su primer guitarra en la Navidad de 2001.
