La Asociación de la Prensa Extranjera de Hollywood (HFPA) compartió el listado de las nominaciones de la próxima edición de los premios Globos de Oro. Como era de esperarse tras el fenómeno denominado popularmente como ‘Barbenheimer’, Barbie y Oppenheimer lideran las categorías de cine con nueve y ocho nominaciones, respectivamente. El filme dirigido por Greta Gerwig, quien competirá por el título de Mejor director/a, cuenta con tres entradas a Mejor canción original por ‘Dance the Night’ de Dua Lipa, ‘I’m Just Ken’ de Ryan Gosling y ‘What Was I Made For?’ de Billie Eilish.
Otros largometrajes que están presentes en Mejor película de drama o Mejor película musical o de comedia son Poor Things, protagonizada por Emma Stone y Mark Ruffalo; Killers of the Flower Moon, protagonizada por Leonardo DiCaprio y Lily Gladstone; y Past Lives, protagonizada por Greta Lee y Yoo Tae-o.
Este año, los premios cuentan con la adición de dos nuevas categorías; una para cine y la otra para televisión. La primera, denominada Logro cinematográfico y de taquilla, reconocerá el éxito en taquilla y/o popularidad de los filmes que hayan sido estrenados en el último año de elegibilidad. Además de Barbie y Oppenheimer, otros filmes que se encuentran nominados son Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse y Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour. Mientras que la segunda premiará la Mejor actuación en un Stand-Up Comedy televisivo; Ricky Gervais, Trevor Noah, Amy Schumer y Sarah Silverman son algunos de los comediantes que competirán por este galardón.
En cuanto a la televisión, Succession cuenta con nueve nominaciones gracias a su cuarta y última temporada, y es seguida por las cinco nominaciones de The Bear y Only Murders in the Building. The Crown, The Last of Us y 1923 también están presentes en las categorías dedicadas a series de drama. Por series de comedia o musicales, Barry se enfrentará a Abbott Elementary, Jury Duty, Ted Lasso, The Bear y Only Murders in the Building.
